Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Ivanov

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Ivanov is specialist in internal medicine, military field therapy and cardio-rheumatology. He graduated clinical residency in internal medicine at the MMA. He successively worked as chief of cardiology consulting room, head of functional diagnostics department, deputy head of clinic of functional diagnostics; head of center of clinical cardiac rehabilitation and head of clinic of intensive therapy of internal diseases.

His scientific interests are focused on the area of the cardio-vascular functional diagnostics, in particular, stable angina pectoris, painless form of coronary insufficiency, myocardial infarction and heart failure. He works out diagnostic and functional criteria for evaluating the rehabilitation potential of patients with cardiovascular diseases. He is engaged in research on diagnostic-therapeutic problems of the intensive therapy of internal diseases , and the development of legal, ethical and moral standards in medical practice.

The author has published over 150 research works in Bulgaria and abroad.
